Dying Fetus - Begin Recording New Album
Official press release
John Gallagher, guitarist and vocalist of Dying Fetus, has announced that the group has entered the studio to record a new full-length album. The band will once again be working with long-time producer Steve Wright (Slipknot, Misery Index) at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore, MD.
Set to be released in mid 2012 through Relapse Records, the album will feature nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of Dying Fetus as we have come to know. An official release date and album title will be announced shortly.
"The last album had some groove in it," stated John, "but was basically a lot of tech; this one is a return to form of older Dying Fetus albums, so to speak - more modern production though, of course." "Everything's tight," John adds; "...the sound is crushing, the drums are amazing."

Dying Fetus - Covers EP Due In July
Dying Fetus will release a limited-edition mini-LP this summer. Entitled History Repeats..., it marks the band's 20th anniversary and sees the group covering tracks from artists who have influenced them (Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse, Pestilence). History Repeats... also includes a brand new Dying Fetus track exclusive to this release. The mini-LP is limited to 5,000 copies worldwide and set for a July 19 North American release through FYE stores and Relapse mailorder exclusively. Dying Fetus - Early Material Streaming Online
Dying Fetus are currently streaming the upcoming re-issues of their 1995 demo collection Infatuation With Malevolence and debut album Purification Through Violence in their entirety at this location (player at the upper right).
Both Infatuation With Malevolence and Purification Through Violence will be released next Tuesday, January 18th through Relapse Records. The re-issues have been re-mastered and re-packaged now including new liner notes and never-before-seen photography, and bonus tracks. Re-issues of Dying Fetus' Killing On Adrenaline album and Grotesque Impalement EP will follow in early March. Killing On Adrenaline will include two bonus tracks while Grotesque Impalement will feature three previously unreleased tracks.
After headlining the Bonecrusher Fest, Dying Fetus will start working on a brand-new studio album.

Cannibal Corpse - USA Tour, Ft. Dying Fetus, Vital Remains, Devourment
Cannibal Corpse will be hitting the road for a 17 date run that takes the band through the east coast, south, and Midwest. The mighty Cannibal Corpse will be kicking things off on Friday November 5th in Wilmington, NC at The Soapbox Laundrolounge and will finish things up on Monday November 22nd in Asheville, NC at The Orange Peel. Joining Cannibal Corpse on the road is Dying Fetus, Vital Remains, and Devourment. The tour is being brought to fans by BC Rich, Metal Blade Records, Good Fight Entertainment, and Relapse Records. Dying Fetus - Thrashing And Burning Europe With Origin
Dying Fetus will headline the third installment of the "Thrash And Burn Tour" as it returns to Europe in early April. Joining Dying Fetus for this month-long tour is Origin, Beneath The Massacre, Man Must Die and Revocation. A listing of confirmed "Thrash And Burn" tour dates and cities can be found below. "Descend Into Depravity" will be released on September 15 in North America (September 21 in rest of the World) via Relapse Records. The album was recorded at Wright Way Studios with producer Steve Wright in the band's hometown of Baltimore, MD.
